Position Description Overview

The federal government mandates that states implement Electronic Visit Verification for all Medicaid personal care services (PCS) and home health services (HHCS) that require an in-home visit by a provider. Our AuthentiCare solution offers states a powerful system that helps to reduce costs, minimize the risk of fraud and maximize responsiveness to members while improving the overall efficiency of their home and community-based services. Working in a diverse and challenging environment, this role requires a versatile Technical Consultant to participate in large scale implementations.


Job Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for leading the planning and execution of specific projects, reviewing and fully understanding all project and business requirements, determining appropriate solutions, generating detailed system design documentation meeting the business needs of the customer/project. 
  • The role involves participation in the generation of project deliverables such as Communication Plans, Training Plans/Documentation, Test Plan, Test Cases/Scenarios as well as Quality Assurance Testing of the application. Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to\:
  • Generate detailed system design configuration documentation that meets client requirements, following internal standardsSupport Project Manager in the updating of the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) throughout the project lifecycleWork closely with Implementation team, Shared Services partners to ensure synergy resulting in a successful implementation
  • Develop test plans and test scripts 
  • Participate in and/or lead Quality Assurance testing 
  • Participate in the development of the implementation plan required to successfully rollout new application(s) 
  • Provide support to Project Manager to ensure all implementation steps are followed 
  • Work with Technical Operations team to ensure deployment of application is in accordance with the implementation plan

  • Attending requirements and design sessions and providing input on the design/configuration of application to meet customers needs 
  • Coordinate customer training and ensure documented training plans are produced and adhered to 
  • Providing input to the application development teams on design/configuration of the application in order to support business functions/requirements 
  • Reviewing designated deliverables associated with the application aspects of the Project (requirements, design, development, testing and training), and preparation of formal Deliverable Review ReportsAssisting customers in the review of deliverables

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other related discipline (6+ years of relevant experience acceptable as substitute) 
  • Knowledge of SQL databases and writing custom queries 
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal to include writing detailed system design documentation and deliverables that will be presented to clients 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with clients and/or staff at all levels
  • Proactive thinking; Makes complex decisions and recommendations under limited direction and using high degree of initiative and independent judgment
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills 
  • Proven problem solving skills from problem assessment to solution selection
  • Ability to identify alternatives and make contingency plans 
  • Experience with data analysis techniques, data modeling and data management tools preferred 
  • Capability and willingness to embrace change and quickly adapt to new situations, shifts in direction and priorities, both from a client and internal perspective 
  • Results and goal-oriented, with initiative to work until job is complete
  • Appropriate sense of urgency and commitment for critical deliverables
  • Proficiency in wide range of appropriate tools\: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Visio & Adobe Acrobat, document management and sharing (SharePoint, Confluence), etc. 
  • Experience with the full System Development Life CyclePrior experience involving Electronic Visit Verification federal requirements and solution offerings highly desired
