The Lead Investment Operations Analyst will drive the business by preparing investment management / compliance reports and analyses for Ameritas but primarily for the securities that are in the general account. Responsible for integrity and appropriateness of operational investment data developed and maintained for portfolio reporting and analysis on behalf of the clients of Ameritas Investment Partners. Responsible for overseeing the analytical and administrative support for client portfolios and the development & dissemination of statistical data for use in investment operations and presentations.

Essential Functions:

* Understand the nature of investments owned by the clients.
* Understand investment valuation and analytical concepts.
* Develop/generate and analyze reports from analytics systems to ensure that the automated systems are functioning properly, the data is appropriate and format and makeup of investments are in compliance with various reporting/regulatory requirements and established guidelines.
* Develop, analyze, and report Board, Finance Committee, performance, portfolio sensitivity, interest crediting, ACLI, NAIC and ALM information as needed.
* Understand the regulatory requirements of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners and the Securities Valuation Office for the valuation and filing requirements for securities.
* Implement procedures to enhance the productivity, efficiency and scope of the Investment Operations Unit.
* Actively participate in firm projects and initiatives.
* Complete ad-hoc analysis and projects as requested.
* Manage and respond to investment related class actions.
* Assist in the development & implementation of strategies for meeting various reporting needs and managing/sharing/storing data files.
* Manage and oversee the valuation process for the Investment Advisor.
* Maintain a working relationship with outside vendors/service providers as required.
* Develops the documentation of processes and procedures relating to operations, compliance and reporting.
* Complete ad-hoc and annual survey requests as requested.
* Assist with various projects and other tasks as needed.
* Aid in the development of portfolio and performance reporting for the insurance and separate accounts.
* Assist in the review & oversight of all reporting produced by the group.
* Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

* 1-3 years related work experience
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Related Field preferred
* Ability to solve straightforward problems and analyze possible solutions using standard procedures
* Proficient in Excel with ability to manipulate large quantities of data.
* Works with established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision
* Good interpersonal skills, oral communication skills and business-writing skills are desirable.
* Ability to meet deadlines; a strong commitment to customer service; must exhibit good teamwork and a positive image.
