Ameritas is seeking a Sr Real Estate Analyst to join the Ameritas Investment team.  In this role you will provide active and analytical support for the real estate joint venture program’s production efforts and portfolio management activities. You will have responsibility for analyzing, documenting, making and implementing investment and asset management recommendations regarding the organization's real estate investment portfolio.  You will also interact and work directly with internal investment professionals, joint venture partners, and the broader real estate community both locally and nationally.  This role provides for accelerated growth opportunities including being responsible for production related activities in an assigned territory. 

What you do

* Provide initial review, analysis and written recommendation of new investment opportunities.

* Serve as a primary contact person for the review and recommendation of new investment opportunities within the asset class.
* Apply pricing guidelines to negotiate pricing to obtain desired yield for portfolio.
* Assist management in monitoring the existing portfolio and assume responsibility for the completion of quarterly portfolio reporting functions.

* Analyze and complete compliance reports.
* Travel to perform property site inspections and meet with joint venture partners.
* Lead the closing process for new investments including but not limited to reviewing third party reports, leases, and other due diligence related activities.
* Track economic and real estate market information, document, and make recommendations to aid in decision making by management.
* Assist in the management and leasing functions for operating real estate and REO properties.

* Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective joint venture partners and other third-party clients.

What you bring

* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
* 2-4 years real estate analysis experience required.
* Working knowledge of and genuine interest in the real estate industry.
* Strong analytical and data analysis skills.
* Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet programs, word processing, and presentation software skills are essential.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to influence and build relationships.
* Must be focused, flexible, and can work in a team environment.
