Appeal and Complaint Analyst

This position will specifically focus on delivering timely responses to claims appeals by external customers and insurance regulatory agencies. This position contributes to customer loyalty and retention by adhering to established processes and making recommendations for process enhancements.

What you do

* Provide regulatory and administrative support by preparing written responses to claim appeals using existing templates, but also creating and entering case specific details. Assist in drafting and reviewing responses, inquiries, and/or correspondence.
* Regularly handle sensitive and/or confidential materials.
* Supports or coordinates projects from multiple sources.
* Communicate with outside sources to obtain necessary information.
* Support on-going reporting needs through collaboration with other business areas.
* Review errors, inconsistencies, improper processing practices and make recommendations to management.
* Attention to detail, and attention to proper spelling/punctuation/grammar will be key for success in this role.
* Utilize an intermediate level working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel to perform job functions.

What you bring

* High School diploma or GED required.
* 2-4 years of relevant experience required.
* Experience drafting and/or editing formal business documents and correspondence strongly desired.
* Experience with reading and interpreting contract language desired.

Salary range $22.00/hr to $33.01/hr
