    As the I-9 Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining company I-9 compliance.  This includes helping to ensure I-9's are completed accurately and timely in the Guardian I-9 system, performing E-verify actions, assisting with the re-verification and TNC processes, assisting in training sessions with field locations, and providing excellent customer service.

    This is a shared services environment in Kiewit Business Center, a professional office setting in Omaha, NE

    -    Focus and priority of maintaining Company compliance in the areas of DOT and I-9 
    -    Act as a liaison between a variety of different KBS teams and field personnel to effectively and efficiently support the driver qualification and I-9 systems
    -    Maintain driver qualification files accurately and timely 
    -    Manage expiring documentation in accordance with the FMCSA regulations and requirements
    -    Assist in the DOT Drug and Alcohol program in accordance with the FMCSA regulations and Kiewit's corporate policies
    -    Commission and maintain employee access in the DQM and Guardian Systems
    -    Training of field personnel as needed on DOT and I-9 systems
    -    Assisting the project locations with the timely completion of I-9's via the electronic system
    -    Performing E-verify, re-verification and TNC processes
    -    Strict adherence to regulations provided by the DOT and DHS
    -    Communicate and collaborate with team members to achieve department goals and provide outstanding support to all areas of the Kiewit organization
    -    Provide the highest level of customer service to internal and external customers; understand Kiewit's core business and promote a sense of urgency toward business-critical issues
    -    Performing internal audits of driver files or I-9's as needed
    -    Troubleshoot system issues and errors when they arise and escalate when necessary
    -    Reliable and consistent attendance
    -    Support and participate in collaboration activities to promote and implement continuous process improvement
    -    Perform other job-related tasks as needed or assigned

    -    Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
    -    Superior attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies
    -    Ability to understand and follow regulations, processes, and controls

    -    Logical reasoning abilities that enable one to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problem-solving

    -    A demonstrated pattern of success in meeting quality objectives
    -    Ability to identify and anticipate problems, seek solutions, and escalate when necessary
    -    Ability to understand and follow process and controls
    -    Availability to work shifts, if needed, within the Shared Service hours of 7am-6pm
    -    Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish assigned work
    -    Excellent customer service and collaboration skills; ability to connect and build relationships with others inside and outside the organization
    -    Aptitude for learning and navigating systems, pulling data and  running reports
    -    Experience in DOT, FMCSA regulations preferred
    -    Experience in the assistance of completion of I-9s, knowledge of DHS guidelines preferred
    -    College degree in Business, HR, or related field preferred    
    -    Experience with advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, V-lookups, formulas, etc) preferred
