CSS Staffing has a position with our direct client for a Network Engineer. The best candidate for this opportunity will have solid experience working with diverse networked systems to include (but not exclusively) Cisco technologies. This position will be “full lifecycle” networking to include design and architecting systems, installing and troubleshooting and working with both technical and business end users. Technology will also include IP Telephony and implementation of security measures. Core Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, design, test, and evaluate network systems, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), Internet, and other data communications systems
  • Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning
  • Research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software
  • Monitor system performance and provide security measures, troubleshooting and maintenance as needed
  • Assist users to diagnose and solve data communication problems
  • Design and implement systems, network configurations, and network architecture, including software technology, site locations, and integration of technologies
  • Develop and write procedures for installation, use, and troubleshooting of communications hardware and software
  • Work with other engineers, systems analysts, programmers, technicals, scientists and top-level managers in the design, testing, and evaluation of systems
  • Read technical manuals and research to determine which equipment meets establishment requirements
  • Consult customers, visit workplaces or conduct surveys to determine present and future user needs
  • Visit vendors, attend conferences or training and study technical journals to keep up with changes in technology
  • IP Telephony


The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience
  • Windows, MS Office experience



  • 5 years of experience in network systems
  • Cisco certificates
  • Above average customer service skills, and supervisory experience
