Ameritas Life Insurance Corp is seeking a Auditor Supervisor to drive the business by creating and executing risk-based audit work programs. Be a part of a team of empowered leaders, creating positive relationships and providing innovative value to each other and the organization.

Essential Job Functions

* Directs the planning of audit work for assigned projects, including the preparation of audit programs and the identification of audit techniques. Leads planning meeting with auditees and incorporates their concerns into the audit approach.
* Conducts detailed reviews of assigned organizational and functional activities, and evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of management controls.
* Prepares workpapers documenting the results of the tests, including formal audit comments, which identify and quantify the impact on business operations.
* Performs quality review of the work of others to assure completeness and accuracy in order to coach and appraise the performance of assigned staff
* Demonstrates the use of critical thinking, maintains curiosity and exercises professional skepticism.
* Facilitate a culture of continuous improvement, challenging the status quo to find new and better ways.
* Serves as a technical resource and assists other professionals on the staff, in areas such as audit skills, project management, and data analytics.
* Creates productive working relationships with business stakeholders and staff.
* Continues to develop professionally through self-study and on-the-job training.
* Assists in the coordination and implementation of audit work for the external auditors.
* Serves on Corporate Project Committees for the purpose of assisting in the development of Corporate procedures.

Qualifications

* Education: Undergraduate degree in accounting, business or related studies. Professional course work or relevant certification a plus
* Experience: Five or more years of audit or comparable experience
* Professional Development: Pursuit of industry / professional certifications.
* Must possess: 1) cognitive, problem-solving skills, 2) interpersonal skills, 3) professional skepticism, and 4) inductive and deductive reasoning.
* Must comprehend the Principles of Accounting as well as Business Administration.
* Must possess detailed knowledge and understanding of auditing principles. Must have a working knowledge of information technologies and their deployment. Must understand the control environment.
* Must understand the importance of ethics in the business environment and the role the internal auditor plays within the organization.
