Ameritas Life Insurance Corp is seeking an IT Staff Auditor who is an eager, motivated candidate to perform IT and operational audit work including evaluating controls and data analysis. Essential Job Functions

* Review and evaluate the organization's system of IT and Operational internal controls and assess control operating effectiveness, as well as review for compliance the organization's policies, procedures and regulations
* Prepare workpapers documenting results of the tests and data analytics performed, and with assistance, write formal audit comments which identify and quantify the impact on operations.
* With assistance, make recommendations and provide consultation on how to design, implement, improve or enhance internal controls in technical areas including IT governance, change management, computer operations, security, access, and various cloud environments.
* Assist in the coordination and implementation of audit work for the external auditors.
* Continue to develop professionally through self-study and on-the-job training with an emphasis on preparing for and obtaining professional and industry certifications.
* Develop knowledge of and ability to apply appropriate auditing techniques and accounting principles.
* Build collaborative and trusting relationships with auditees, management, and other stakeholders.
* Communicate both written and verbally with people at all levels, both technical and non-technical, in a dynamic environment where interactions are not always in person.

Requirements

* Undergraduate degree preferably in Accounting, Data Analytics, Business, or Computer Science with an Accounting minor.
* Professional course work towards a certification a plus (CPA, CIA, CISA)
* 0-2 years of audit or comparable experience
* Data analysis skills or software experience preferred, including ACL, Python, PowerBI, R, or Tableau.
* Problem solving skills, professional skepticism, critical thinking and interpersonal skills
* An understanding of the Principles of Accounting as well as the need for controls and the importance of ethics in the business environment are advantageous.
* Knowledge of information technologies and their deployment are a plus.
