Monitor the nightly operations of Ameritas enterprise operations center. Operate and support the central computer systems and related peripheral equipment including the host computers that run the organization's administrative applications and other operational tools, software, and devices.

One exciting aspect of this position will be the exposure to multiple IT disciplines including working with developers and partnering with infrastructure.

Required schedule Sunday through Wednesday 7:00 pm to 6:00 am (4x10) with a one-hour meal break. Overnight shift differentials do apply.

What you will do

* Provide monitoring of computer platforms during nightly cycles
* Operate print systems checking for production printing quality and errors
* Troubleshoot operational IT issues at a 1st level of support and engage with appropriate next level support personnel as required for resolution of issues
* Provide 1st level help desk support outside of normal business hours
* Operate scheduling software while monitoring jobs on both mainframe systems and open systems
* Communicate with 2nd level support in a clear and professional manner to describe and troubleshoot problems

What you bring

* High school diploma or GED required.
* Associate degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
* 1 year of previous IT or technical experience required
* Desired but not required experience would include:

* Network Operations Center (NOC)
* System monitoring, scheduling, or batch processing
* Mainframe console
* Network or server
* Print Operations
