Ameritas Agency and Advisor Distribution is looking for an Advanced Markets and Practice Management Intern that possesses a unique set of skills. This position requires an individual with the aptitude and desire to utilize legal, accounting, and marketing skills to position Ameritas as a first class wealth management company. This position also requires one to possess and most importantly learn how best to prepare a curriculum to help financial advisors motivate and educate their clients. This position requires a highly motivated and energetic individual with the desire to put their intellectual aptitude to work in a non-traditional manner

Examples of work include: interpreting tax/legal rulings and transforming them into actionable financial planning opportunities, preparing wealth management school curriculum while gaining an understanding of the science behind adult learning, gaining an understanding of the Ameritas Field system and how offices successfully interact with Practice Management and Development team, preparing advanced case designs for business, executive benefit and retirement planning cases, listening in and eventually participating in high level financial planning consultations.

This internship would start in January 2020.

Essential Job Functions

* Assist in preparation of high level case designs for business, estate, and retirement planning cases
* Case follow-up with advanced market concepts
* Learning and helping to make more effective the Ameritas Learning Management System
* Requesting and filing industry designation reimbursements
* Creating marketing copy for concepts based upon new tax/legal developments
* Submitting and monitoring content through Ad Review
* Classroom learning packet assembling
* Create wealth management copy for newsletter "Up Your Game"
* Assist with virtual school, podcasts and webinar setup
* Assist with presentation & course development (e.g. mp4 editing) and proofreading
* Learning and helping to make more effective the Ameritas Learning Management System
* Ordering Marketing material necessary for training events
* Assist with reporting on production results from Advanced Market and Practice Management events
* Possess strong relationship building skills

Qualifications

* Enrolled in college program for the course the internship
* Able to fulfill a commitment from January through June

* PT includes 15-20 hours a week
* Strong oral and writing skills
* Well developed Tax/Legal and Marketing acumen and desire
* Ability to adapt to change and take initiative
* Interest in organizational communication and community relations
* Ability to ask questions and write accurately about the business
