Ameritas Life Insurance Corp is seeking a Data & Analytics Manager to drive the business by evolving and maturing our Business Intelligence and Visualization practice.

The Manager for Business Intelligence is a critical leadership role within the data and insights team at Ameritas. This role will be responsible for Business Intelligence strategy, planning and execution. This IT Manager will be responsible for identifying and deploying dashboards, data visualizations and reports through business partnerships, project management, and analytical support using industry best practices. The position requires strong technical hands-on skills and experience as well as establishing close business relationships across the enterprise. Working closely with business stakeholders, this role will establish and drive a long-term BI strategy roadmap and manage increasing demand for data and advanced analytics to help operate, optimize and grow the business.

Essential Job Functions

* Lead vision and strategy for business intelligence, data visualization and reporting across Ameritas
* Supervise and manage a team of BI and Visualization leads and developers and supporting matrixed resources.
* Act as a liaison between the lines of business and IT, collaborate with stakeholders to develop clear and measurable business objectives for dashboards and reports.
* Analyze business problems and propose innovative solutions based on rigorous data analysis
* Provide overall vision, guidance and oversite for report, dashboard and visualization development.
* Assist with identifying and provisioning application resources, as well as research and troubleshoot problems & questions related to solutions
* Support an insight -driven culture by educating the organization on everyday uses of data as a resource. Serve as strong advocate to improve analytical capability across the organization.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math or Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
* Previous work history in IT/Technology is required. 8+ years of relevant work in project delivery as a delivery lead or functional lead.
* Management Consulting/Big 4 experience would be desired.
* Masters degree in analytics or an MBA desired.
* Experience with one or more BI tools like Cognos, Tableau, Web focus, Power BI, etc.
* Experience in Data Model design and SQL.
