Ameritas Life Insurance Corp is seeking a Project Manager to drive the business by leading and organizing teams on discrete initiatives, utilizing project management methodologies and best practice to effectively deliver on an intended outcome and value for the organization. This position directs and provides oversight and reporting on projects with moderate complexity, narrow to moderately defined scope, and low to moderate business value, cost and risk.

Essential Job Functions

* Work with sponsor to understand project strategic alignment and define project objectives, benefits, success criteria, assumptions, constraints, and project steering team membership.
* Work with sponsor, subject matter experts and project team to identify project approach, breakdown project work into tasks, obtain estimates for those tasks, and identify task dependencies in order to create the project plan and schedule.
* Identify project costs and work with sponsor to ensure funding for the initiative is available.
* Monitor and manage project plan, schedule, cost, and resources and report on progress and variances to plan
* Ensure stakeholders understand change to business processes and appropriate training is provided
* Establish and follow review/approval process for project deliverables while identifying and actively managing project risks and issues
* Evaluate and document the degree to which changes would affect the project scope, cost, quality, and schedule and provide alternatives to project steering team and sponsor for approval
* Implement approved changes, manage related work tasks, and integrate approved changes into project baseline
* Identify causes of variances in project scope, schedule and cost and document lessons learned that allow for improvements in delivery and/or project management
* Ensure MAR control documents and approvals are stored in the appropriate location for audit

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent amount of relevant experience required
* 2-4 years of related experience utilizing formal project management methodologies required
* Previous experience with Agile methodology and Scrum framework required
* PMP designation and/or Scrum Master certification preferred
