We are looking for an experienced manager/leader of high-performing and agile software development teams. People skills and the ability to grow individuals and teams are the primary criteria. Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage an agile business intelligence team
  • Create a collaborative and inclusive team environment and develop team members through coaching, training, and ongoing performance feedback
  • Conduct performance reviews, champion employee engagement and encourage employee development
  • Collaborate with IT leadership and teams and serve as an initiator and driver of continuous improvement and agile principles:
    •  Model what good looks like
    •  Ensure and promote team practices for ongoing development of BI expertise, skill mastery and innovation
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in SDLC management, agile work management, operational safety standards and client’s code of conduct
  • Participate in, and provide guidance and leadership on IT strategic initiatives such as the enablement of Self-Service Business Intelligence, Data Governance, Intelligent grid modernizations, and other initiatives as identified through strategic planning

 

The successful candidate will possess experience in the following skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years leadership and management experience leading high-performing software or data engineering teams
  • Minimum of 10 years of BI and/or Application development experience
  • Advanced Agile Skills
  • Experience managing 24x7 IT operations with a service orientation
  • Ability to synthesize large quantities of information, create linkages, and express complex concepts in a concise and audience-relevant manner
  • Dynamic leader and effective influencer with great people skills

 

Desired:

  • ITIL or COBIT certification
  • Certifications in Microsoft or Oracle technologies
  • PMP Certification (Project Management Professional)
