The purpose of this position is to improve business and operating results by overseeing, coordinating and administrating the function and associated personnel of the Cassling Project Management team while also directly providing coordination of Imaging projects from pre-sales to customer acceptance.  The position has direct impact on the delivery of quality customer service. 



This position can be located anywhere in the Cassling service area.  



Primary Duties & Responsibilities - Project Manager



  • Managing and oversight of Project Management activities including accurate forecasting of system delivery and turnover schedules.

  • Provide for general support, coaching and guidance to Project Managers.

  • Responsible for some personnel issues relating to Project Management including incentive pay, hiring, dismissal, employee development.

  • Arrange, coordinate and facilitate staff meetings for Project Managers.

  • Participate in Corporate Strategic Planning activities as required.

  • Ensure all personal and team work duties are directed towards reaching Cassling’s Key Results

  • Responsible for the completion of all forms and reports necessary for the administration of Project Management and related personnel including:  all related Siemens documentation and reporting, expense reports, etc.

  • Understand, embrace and promote Cassling’s Cultural Beliefs

  • Work with Cassling Sales Management and Siemens Logistics to achieve desired results of equipment installation timelines, etc.

  • Must be able to understand and abide by Corporate Compliance requirements.

  • Exhibit ethical, objective business relationships in which the best interests of Cassling and its customers are maintained.  Any influences that would jeopardize this responsibility should be reviewed with VP of Service.

  • As an integral part of all Cassling business functions, interacts with employees, customers and vendors as part of a team to assist with and facilitate the delivery of quality service, and helps create a work environment conducive to solving problems.



Primary Duties & Responsibilities - Project Manager



  • Participate in customer planning meetings

  • Submit drawing requests for room drawings to proper people

  • Develop time lines and gain customer acceptance

  • Schedule and lead follow up meetings with customer

  • Receive customer approval of room drawings

  • Willing and able to do significant travel that may include overnights

  • Take ownership of project planning but involve all other parties when necessary

  • Work closely with the equipment manufacturers’ logistics organization to coordinate manufacturing deadlines, deliveries, installations, equipment turnover, applications, etc.

  • Work with Sales Coordinator on procurement status and provide updates on customer site readiness, etc

  • Work with FSE’s and Regional Service Manager on installation schedule

  • Work with Sales Coordinator to arrange proper shipping time tables

  • Work with Field Service and customer on receipt and installation of product

  • Work with sales and customer to obtain customer acceptance upon installation completion

  • Exhibit ethical, objective business relationships in which the best interests of Cassling and its customers are maintained

  • Effectively communicate and track project status to all interested and involved people

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required by manager

  • Communicate with and update service support personnel regarding: completion of installation, customer acceptance, warranty start and end dates, service agreement start and end days, any other necessary communications affecting customer information entered in the service database (i.e., customer contacts, phone/fax numbers, PO numbers, etc.)

  • Assure any changes / revisions to a project are properly communicated / distributed, including the service department

  • Be familiar with ISO procedures from initial quote completion of installation and assist in maintaining compliance

  • Assist in defining configurations, which are entered in the service database, prior to installation packets being prepared and sent to the field

  • Able to operate office equipment including computer, fax machine, copier, and telephone.

  • Good interpersonal communication skills.

  • Good oral and written communication skills.

  • Able to routinely utilize independent judgment in performing job responsibilities.

  • Able to work with groups of people in order to reach consensual decisions.

  • Willing and able to travel and work long, sometimes unscheduled work hours.

  • Willing and able to work in an unstructured and minimally supervised environment.

  • A team player, cooperative.

  • Ability to hire, assess performance, train and dismiss, as necessary.

  • Ability to maintain a satisfactory DMV (motor vehicle) record

  • Willingness to work long hours which are not always scheduled or structured

  • Willingness to wear a pager or cell phone and work “on call



Education & Experience



  • EducationEducation: Associates Degree or equivalent work experience

  • Experience:  Minimum 5 years experience in medical imaging with customer and vendor interaction.  Prior Project Management responsibilities preferred or appropriate OJT workshops/seminars.
