Ameritas Life Insurance Corp is seeking a Project Management Intern to drive the business by assisting with project management reports, onboarding project management consultants, submitting security requests, and providing assistance with meetings.

This intern role is an exciting opportunity to receive exposure to a diverse range of IT skills/experiences.

What you do

* Assist in creating and/or update project management and portfolio reports
* Assist in project management meetings by taking minutes and preparing draft agendas
* Aid the Onboarding of project management consultants utilizing existing process
* Submit security requests for external consultants per documented direction
* Work with lead project manager to identify project approach, breakdown work into tasks, obtain estimates for tasks, and identify task dependencies in order to create the project plan and schedule.
* Assist with identifying costs and funding for the initiative.
* Monitor and assist with project plan, schedule, cost, and resources and report on progress and variances to plan.
* Ensure Model Audit Rule (MAR) control documents and approvals are stored in the appropriate location for audit based on established procedures

What you bring

* Must be actively enrolled in an IT or business degree program (associate or bachelor level will both be considered), prefer focus on project management
* Available work hours will fall between 8 am to 5 pm (Central Time) Monday-Friday. Candidate must be able to work 20 hours per week during the school year, flexing up to 30-40 hours per week during the summer months
* Excellent organizational skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office products -- Excel, Power Point, and Word
* Skilled in oral and written communication, as collaboration is essential
* Detailed oriented
* Understands financial data, including cost benefit analysis and return on investment
* Demonstrates initiative and teamwork
* Ability to work with both business and IT partners, including consultants
* Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
