General Description

A fast-paced, extensive role in which the main responsibilities include managing computer systems for proper functioning to enable and facilitate all company buiness computer operations. Responsibilites of this role also includes:

    • Maintain computer systems and security in a regulatory compliant status
    • Monitor daily operations, including server, hardware, software and enterprise systems
    • Management of 1-2 direct reports but will also oversee numerous vendors
    • Manage projects with external MSP
    • Establish IT standards, methods, and procedures
    • Create/maintain protocols for business continuity and disaster recovery
    • Collaborate with Managed Services Provider to execute Cyber Security strategies to protect organization
    • Stay up to date on technology advancements
    • Manage IT budget while maximizing profits and reducing costs
    • Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervisor
    • Work independently while understanding the necessity for community and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations
    • Programming skills required to maintain/modify current/future in-house applications
      • Informix 4GL on SCO Unix for core legacy application
      • Multiple Microsoft servers
    • Manage/configure databases
    • Proficient with writing SQL queries
    • Command line scripting experience for Microsoft and Unix
    • Maintain/configure networks
    • Create/maintain/configure security policies
      • Create/manage Internal Systems backups
      • Write required Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for computer operations
      • Proposing strategic solutions and recommending new procedures, systems and software
  • Further responsibilities and duties as deemed necessary

Experience Requirements

  • Sufficient breadth and depth of architecture knowledge (data, information, infrastructure, applications, business/enterprise, security) to provide sound guidance.
  • Experience with US-FDA Q7A and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) requirements (preferred).
  • Systematic approach to Information Technology. Solid understanding of enterprise architecture, and of business intelligence for decision-making and performance improvement. 
  • Programming/software knowledge/experience (Unix and Microsoft).
  • Experience working with ERP transition (preferred).
  • Computer hardware knowledge/experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years supervisory experience
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience with Dynamics 365 (preferred).
  • Proficient in MS Suite of products including Office365, Server, and Exchange.
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills
  • Attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude, good judgment, and excellent time management skills.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering (preferred), or a minimum of 8 years of work experience in a computer systems environment.
