Spreetail is a new ecommerce site that makes it easy to shop for your backyard, garage, and home. Originally from Lincoln, Nebraska, Spreetail has expanded to include offices and fulfillment centers in 8 cities and 6 states.

As a Sr. Back End Engineer, you will:

    • Facilitate and design, development, and delivery of powerful server-side applications 
    • Facilitate productive software architecture conversations 
    • Coach and mentor back-end engineers – help back-end engineers reach their goals 
    • Continual balance (and rebalance) of technical goals with incremental software deliver
    • Work with product squad leads to define expectations for quality back-end systems 
    • Embrace design patterns to make complex systems easier to understand  
    • Monitor, inspect, and improve software once it is running 
    • Provide informative and concise technical feedback to engineers when designing potential approaches to solve problems 
    • Push our technology stack further with best practices and new technology

Requirements:

    • 5+ years of server-side development (C#, VB.Net, F#, Java, Python, etc.) 
    • 5+ years of object-oriented software development 
    • 5+ years of unit testing experience (XUnit, NUnit, MSTest, etc.) 
    • 5+ years of developing applications with relational databases (MSSQL, PostGres, etc.) 
    • 2+ years of software architecture experience (Basic patterns, refactoring, etc.) 
    • Source Control Management (Git)
