Ensocare creates innovative web-based solutions to automate patient discharge at hospitals.  We also support our free-to-consumer search products.


 


We're now seeking smart, passionate individuals to join our development team as we attack a variety of projects. Ensocare is looking for experienced Java J2EE Developers to help engineer and support the next generation of our products. You'll help design, develop and deploy software solutions for Ensocare and our customers. As a team member, you'll be involved in all aspects of the software lifecycle – design, build, test, deploy, document and support.  This is a great opportunity for someone that wants to continue to grow and develop their technical skills

Primary Duties and Responsibilities



  • Design, develop, and maintain the full stack of our current and future web and mobile-based applications:

    • Front-end technologies include React and Doctrine.

    • Backend services and microservices built with PHP with Symfony, Doctrine, GraphQL, Redis, Elasticsearch and MySQL.



  • Provide innovative technical input to evolve existing products and create new products.

  • Adhere to and participate in code reviews, internal tools and process improvements.

  • Provide high confidence estimates and direction for components to be built.

  • Proven team player with strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to remain drug free and abide by the Drug Free Workplace policy.



Knowledge Skills and Attributes



  • 3+ years PHP experience, preferably PHP 7 or above.

  • 2+ years AWS, with preferable experience with Elastic Search, DynamoDB, Lambda, CloudFront and Code Deploy.

  • 2+ years React, preferably React Native.

  • Experience with Redux is a plus.

  • Understanding of web standards & technologies (ex. HTTP, REST, SOAP and JSON).

  • Advanced MySQL or other RDBMS experience are a plus.

  • Experience with SNS/SQS is a plus.

  • Solid programming skills in HTML/CSS/JS is a plus.

  • Knowledge of Agile & TDD methodologies Kanban, Scrum, etc.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work as part of a team, but also able to work independently.

  • Ability to interact competently and comfortably over the telephone or video conference.



Education and Experience



  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or 4+ years of equivalent experience.

  • Experience in internet software development, programming and software and application development.



Preferred Qualifications



  • Background in the medical IT industry.

  • Experience architecting Web Service APIs for consumption by third parties.

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.

  • Experience with publishing mobile applications to Apple and Google App Stores.

  • An understanding of the basic coding techniques used for developing for reuse.

  • Some experience with source code control systems.
