Java Developer

We’re looking for the right person to join our team as a full-stack Java Developer. Workpoint develops application and system software for a wide variety of environments including client/server applications, browser-based applications, embedded systems, and Cloud applications. Our development platforms include Windows, JAVA, Linux, Docker, Cloud. Our developers are responsible for reviewing specifications, providing technical designs, and coding and testing their own projects. The Java Developer will be critical in administering technical support, maintenance, and resolving reported issues for existing on-premise applications and will develop on architecture, design, migration, test, maintenance, and support of our cloud application.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

1. Designing and developing high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems and delivering high-availability and performance
2. Contributing in all phases of the development lifecycle
3. Writing well designed, testable, efficient code
4. Experience in JAVA/JEE software design and development, 3+ years JAVA software development experience preferred
5. Experience in UI design and development
6. Experience in REST, SQL and NON-SQL

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

JEE - experience developing Java/JEE client/server architecture

Spring Framework, Spring Boot

Sencha Ext JS

JIDE

Swing

React, Redux, Material-UI, ES6, Yup, Yarn

Restful Web Services

Subversion, GIT

Experience using SQL

Self-starter with initiative who takes personal responsibility and pride in their work

Ability to be productive as an individual and working on a team

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field required

Experience with Workflow / Business Process Automation

Experience Enterprise and Web Application Servers

• WildFly, RedHat EAP, Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere

Trello, JIRA

Database technologies (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)

Linux and Windows / Windows Server Operating systems

High level of attention to detail
