Position Details:

Provide technical guidance of the definition, design, support, and implementation of the technology in the Digital Workplace Applications space.

  • Provide technical recommendations for architectural framework for hosting platforms, systems development, and software applications
  • Provide visionary thinking to develop solutions that fulfill business needs and requirements. 
  • Provide administration and technical support of internal collaboration tools both on premise and in the cloud
  • Assist with optimization recommendations of hardware and software systems
  • Maintain a solid understanding of the applications and environments in the Corporate IT space and also the appropriate business partners on other teams in order to collaborate as needed for effective issue resolution

Analyze systems and determine business requirements

  • Provide recommendations for applications and systems per specified business requirements 
  • Provide assistance in resolving complex issues and determining root causes
  • Maintain in depth technical knowledge of the applications and environments in the Digital Workplace Applications space.
  • Provide highest level (SME) of technical support for issues and perform  root cause analysis

Collaborate with Digital Workplace Applications team members to ensure project scoping activities are aligned with architectural objectives by:

  • Providing coaching to other teammates to resolution of issues they are working.  Utilizing performance data and historical metrics to effectively plan for growth needs
  • Assisting with the planning of upgrades, migrations, optimizations and implementations
  • Supporting efforts to identify and resolve efficiency issues
  • Improving overall functionality
  • Providing multi-faceted testing support and validation prior to the final release of new and upgraded technologies.

Create and maintain technically correct/complete documentation for the tools in the Digital Workplace Applications space such as:

  • Engineering specifications
  • Troubleshooting and support guides
  • DWA System metrics
  • Overall project information (including key deliverable)
  • Execute build activities and ensure they are completed per approved engineering diagrams

Continuously develop technical subject matter expertise in the collaboration tool space by:

  • Remaining apprised of industry trends
  • Keeping up to date with the direction of emerging technologies and their potential value to the business
  • Presenting the value proposition of business-appropriate emerging technologies to technology leadership

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent education/experience.

Experience

  • 7 +  years related experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

  • In depth knowledge of end user computing hardware, software, and cloud platforms
    • Microsoft InTune,  Windows, Azure Portal,  O365, Exchange on Premise, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, , MS Teams, Skype for Business
  • Strong scripting language skills (PowerShell, Python, etc.)
  • Knowledge of network concepts/terminology with the ability to troubleshoot and support (DHCP, DNS, VLAN, etc.)
  • Excellent problem analysis skills
  • Exellent communication skills with the ability to discuss highly technical information with both technical and non-technical users
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in a business environment
  • Ability to provide IT related duties after hours, on weekends, and during holidays for executive escalations, outages, emergency situations, moves, etc. as needed
  • Windows 10, SCCM, Autopilot, Windows as a Service, Enterprise mobility suite, Cloud Gateway
  • Knowledge of ITIL and Incident Management / Service Desk Process
  • Knowledge of Safe framework and agile methodologies
