Enterprise Systems Specialist (Full Time Temporary Position)

Under the direction of the Administrative Director of Infrastructure/Systems, the Enterprise Systems Specialist (Temporary) is responsible for the administration and maintenance of the college Enterprise Resource Platform (ERP) Ellucian Colleague environment and databases. Duties would include: install, deploy, and administer Colleague applications and databases; administer and enforce standards; apply upgrades and fixes; verify enterprise backup and recovery; design and document security requirements; manage user security; perform maintenance tasks; and manage ID card system. This position is a temporary position and is subject to renewal from year to year.


This position Full Time Temporary Position can be in Milford, Lincoln or Remote, but must be able to travel to college locations for meetings and must be available to work at other locations as required.



• Administer Ellucian Colleague ERP application software.

• Manage enterprise system maintenance.

• Manage enterprise wide software and maintain good vendor relationships.

• Manage best practices for upgrading the enterprise system software.

• Communicate current capability level, outages, upgrades, etc. to senior management.

• Manage security to databases and enterprise resources

• Manage hardware and software related to the college bookstores

• Manage enterprise document management system

• Manage enterprise databases

• Assist end users with application problems and report these problems to the software vendor.

• Maintains his/her assigned service requests in the Help Desk ticketing system.

• Responds to constituent requests in a timely manner.

• Completes documentation relating to constituent work orders.

• Provide programming support.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Associate’s degree (A.A.S.) from a two-year college or technical school in Information Technology, Programming, Computer Technology, Business or a related field of study.

2. Two (2) years’ work experience in Computer Programming, Database Administration and using MS SQL query language.

*Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Programming, Computer Technology, Mathematics, Science, Business, Psychology, Statistics, or a related field of study will substitute for up to one (1) year of required work experience.


Desired Qualifications

1. Experience in data base administration, use of programming and database tools in a MS SQL environment in an educational setting.

2. Experience in project scheduling and implementation.

3. Experience in performing software upgrades and patches to an Enterprise level Operating System.

4. Experience with Ellucian Products to include but not limited to Colleague, WebAdvisor, Portal, Ellucian Mobile, Recruit, SAVALET and Intelligent Learning Platform (ILP), Ellucian’ s Colleague Studio and programming in Envision.

5. Experience using Microsoft’s SQL database in terms of administration tasks and a working knowledge to utilize SQL’s function in a production environment.
