Ameritas Life Insurance Corp is seeking a Sales Supervision Analyst. The purpose of this position is to supervise activities related to suitability of fixed insurance sales in New York, as well as quality assurance for Ameritas.

Essential Job Functions

* Supervise fixed insurance sales activity of registered representatives and agents in New York and adherence to NY Reg. 187.
* Make regulatory and supervisory-based decisions to mitigate risk to Ameritas.
* Review and approve fixed insurance product sales in New York including fixed annuities, indexed annuities, and fixed life products.
* Build constructive relationships with registered representatives and agents through communication, education, and follow up.
* Ability to keep abreast of and adapt to an ever-changing regulatory landscape
* Ability to understand a wide variety of representative and agent business models and to spot trends and potential pitfalls in those models.
* Ability to steer representatives and agents to compliance through communication, education and possible disciplinary actions.
* Ability to communicate with co-workers, customers, and various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
* Ability to problem solve and make rule-based and analytical decisions.
* Ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks.
* Knowledge of insurance industry regulations, terminology and sales practices.
* Skill in utilizing various software packages such as Microsoft Office & Outlook
* Ability to learn intricacies of and act as subject matter expert on all Ameritas fixed products.

Requirements

* This position requires a four-year college degree, or equivalent amount of relevant work experience.
* 2 years' experience in the insurance industry required.
* 5 years' experience in the insurance industry preferred.
* FINRA Series 6 required for consideration. FINRA Series 26 will be required in this role in the future, and if not held at the time of offer must be secured within 6 months of starting role.
* Previous supervisory experience in the insurance of financial industry preferred.
* Must have extensive knowledge of insurance industry regulations, applicable legislative requirements, and Ameritas policies and procedures.
* Must possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong problem solving and organizational skills, the ability to not only work well with others but to lead them as well.
* Must possess analytical skills to execute audit functions, identify trends and highlight training opportunities.
* Must be personable, detail oriented, and possess a strong work ethic.
* Proven ability to follow through with limited supervision.
* Must be committed to a high level of customer service and essential teamwork and people skills.
* Must have the ability to work with a wide range of individuals (both within the department and outside the department), including senior management, and representatives from outside companies.
* Must be proficient in personal computer technology and website technology.
* Extensive knowledge and experience with both the financial and regulatory aspects for a wide range of products including fixed annuity products and life insurance products.
