Proxibid is looking for a Salesforce Developer to help develop and drive the evolution of our Salesforce environment.  The Salesforce Developer will be responsible for all types of standard Salesforce Development and customization. This includes coding, unit testing, building and modifying existing applications, as well as maintaining and building integrations. This position will work alongside the Salesforce Administrator.  This role will help ensure the Salesforce organization reflects a solution that is easy to maintain, alter, and scale. A successful developer will have a strong foundation in analysis and problem-solving skills, including the ability to drill down to the root cause of an issue. This role requires the ability to work within time constraints, act with good judgment in complex situations, and be able to take effective action in ambiguous situations. The Salesforce Developer should have a collaborative, service-dedicated, and a solutions-oriented mindset.

Job Functions:

  • Work with the Sr. Salesforce Administrator and business stakeholders to analyze business requirements and  translating those requirements into customized solutions using the Lightning platform
  • Design and develop custom platform development (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, front end web technologies) and integrations with back-office systems
  • Apply best practices and design patterns of best-of-breed applications developed on the Lightning platform
  • Create and execute unit, integration, and user acceptance test plans, including use cases and test data
  • Deliver solutions and enhancements in an agile environment, utilizing a change management and release process
  • Responsible for overseeing day to day technical aspects of development environment are properly using the development libraries and tools
  • Ensure that documentation of code, as well as application use and flow, is accurate and well written
  • Maintain proper security measures and procedures to prevent unauthorized entry and data loss
  • Responsible for technical assistance on multiple projects with the Sr. Salesforce Administrator
  • Assist Sr. Salesforce Administrator with project estimates, development specifications, code reviews, and evaluation and testing of applications
  • Coordinate with vendors on technical matters
  • Maintain familiarity with other IT system/business application capabilities and scope definition to make recommendations about potential upstream/downstream integration or functionality intersection points
  • Demonstrate behaviors that are consistent with the company values, philosophies, and leadership characteristics

Requirements

  • In-depth understanding of the capabilities and constraints of the Salesforce application coupled with a good understanding of the related business processes (Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, etc.)
  • Apex and Visualforce development, design, configuration, testing and deployment of Salesforce solutions
  • Experience in customization, configuration, Eclipse IDE, Apex, Visualforce pages with JavaScript and tools like Apex Data loader, Workbench, and DemandTools
  • Experience with Salesforce Web Services APIs - Force.com SOAP and REST-based Web Service APIs, the Bulk API, and the Metadata API
  • Knowledge of integration of Salesforce and extension of its features using AppExchange products, APIs, Visualforce and other tools
  • Knowledge of SOQL and Salesforce record indexing
  • Knowledge of the Lightning Component Framework
  • Knowledge of software delivery trends and best practices (Agile, domain driven design, software as a service, scalable architecture, iterative development and testing, integrated testing protocols, DevOps culture) on the Salesforce platform
  • Ability to critically review system requests and make alternate proposals as warranted
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong orientation to detail, process, and prioritization
  • Proven experience performing independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creativity, resourcefulness, and ability to think outside of the box
  • Possesses an understanding of User Experience practices to improve usability and interaction between the users and Salesforce

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 1-year Salesforce development experience, preferably on Lightning
  • Certified Platform Developer I (Preferred)
  • Certified Platform App Builder (Preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, Business, or equivalent
