Position Description

We are seeking a self-motivated, collaborative, intellectually curious accounting professional with a strong work ethic to join our Accounting team.

What does a great Senior Accountant do?

  • Research and resolve accounting matters
  • Research and reconcile difficult accounts
  • Ensure deadlines are met with a high level of quality and accuracy
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of employees, management and external customers

In this role you will also participate in collaborative process improvement projects including current state analysis, support future state design and implementation and assist management on active project status reporting and the communication of any risks, dependencies that could impact project deliverables

What do you need for this opportunity?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent business degree.
  • Three years of experience working with general accounting and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of accounting theory and practice including GAAP
  • Strong understanding of internal controls
  • Deep understanding of general ledger, internal controls and US GAAP requirements.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office suite of business software including Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Experience with variance analysis and process improvement.
  • In addition to strong technical skills, you should possess outstanding business insight, work effectively in a dynamic environment, and partner effectively with and influence decision makers.
  • Minimal Travel required

It would be fantastic if you also have:

  • CPA, MBA or CMA certification is a plus
  • Prior experience working with SAP or other ERP business systems.
  • Previous experience working on enterprise business process change management
