The Accounting Receipts Supervisor will drive operations by managing the day to day processing to bring in receipts and have them applied to the relevant administration systems. This person works with lines of business on receipts functions as required for testing new processes, changes in administration systems, establish SLAs for that area.

Essential Functions

* Ensure all operations associated with the accurate, effective, efficient and timely collection of premiums and related accounting for all lines of business
* Partner with each business area to plan workflows that will result in processes that are accurate and cost effective, and adequately controlled.
* Have the authority and responsibility to make decisions that will ethically resolve situations, considering the company's best interest as well as the customer.
* Be accountable for the control and balancing of multiple lockbox arrangements for collection of premiums for Ameritas, affiliated companies and partners in multiple formats.
* Maintain control over permanent check registers
* Collection of related suspense accounts, including the timely and accurate clearing of all items
* Be accountable for accounting receipt control functions, including the balancing of all accounting input via all systems; correction of error batches.
* Be accountable for applicable controls and testing for receipts.
* Responsible for the day to day management of associates to include prioritizing work assignments and responsibilities for the team
* Lead a high performing team through recruitment, development, and performance management
* Provide guidance to resolve escalated issues or concerns
* Responsible for the preparation, reconciliation, analysis and reporting of various companies
* Ensure transactional accounting accuracy through oversight and resolution
* Lead various projects and other tasks as needed
* Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
* 2-4 years related experience required
* 2 or more years of supervisory experience required
* Ability to learn multiple administration systems
* Strong communication in an effective and cooperative manner to achieve team and Company goals and objectives.
