We’re adding to our Omaha, Nebraska-based engineering team the exciting new position of Embedded Devices Engineer.

Position Summary:

In this role, you will be part of a team responsible for selection, design, implementation, and integration of hardware components and systems software, including operating systems, firmware, device drivers, and all on-module resources.

As an Embedded Devices Engineer you will:

  • Design and implement device drivers and embedded firmware across multiple operating systems, processors, and projects;
  • Develop, debug, and package systems software targeting low-power resource-constrained embedded devices;
  • Produce functional proof-of-concept prototypes
  • Research new embedded systems, hardware, and software technology
  • Compile detailed project documentation and technical communications

As an Embedded Devices Engineer, you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; post-graduate degree/s preferred in EE, CE, CS, SE, or related disciplines
  • 5+ years of industry and academic experience
  • 3+ years programming experience writing production C or C++ code in an embedded context
  • Experience with the software development lifecycle, employing best practices, coding standards, GIT version control, continuous integration and testing, code profilers, and debugging tools
  • Experience with real-time operating systems and bare-metal systems, low-level embedded software
  • Experience acquisition and pre/post processing of various analog and digital sensor signals and types
