To provide support and coordination for the Player Development Department, including but not limited to assisting in the planning, preparation, and execution of promotions and events both on-property and off-property.

 

SUPERVISORY

The Team Member reports to the Player Development Manager.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

(These functions are intended as a general illustration of the work performed in this job classification and are not all inclusive for this position)

 

  • Must maintain the strictest confidence of any and all confidential information disclosed by any PNG entity.
  • Maintains a positive attitude toward company policies and assignments.
  • This is a non-uniformed position, which requires that team members follow non-uniformed appearance standards while on duty.
  • Schedule appointments using Outlook, handles arrangements for meetings, notifies appropriate individuals of meeting details
  • Build and sustain professional relationships with external vendors and internal departments.
  • Work with internal departments to plan and execute player promotions, events and parties.
  • Organizes and tracks reimbursement requests submitted by hosts for players.
  • Tracking and submission of expenses related to Player Development events for analysis.
  • Assists in the booking, planning, and welcoming of cross property groups and National Casino Marketing groups.
  • Maintain inventory of hosted gift items and request additional inventory when needed.
  • Order all tickets and amenities for event center functions with guest tracking in Excel.
  • Create Host Events in tracking systems, Player Development promotions, and cross property groups.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by the Player Development Manager and Director.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)

  • Minimum of High School Diploma with one-year experience in marketing, sales or related industry preferred
  • Creative abilities for planning hosted parties and events not limited to theme, invitations and decorations
  • Strong organizational skills, project management and time management skills
  • Strong record keeping with the ability to add items to the checkbook budget system
  • Ability to share or divide attention among several ongoing activities, projects or assignments
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal team members and external guests
  • Ability to work effectively either independently or as part of a team

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.):

  • Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations including a Class C gaming license through the State of Iowa.
  • Must successfully pass a background check, drug and alcohol screen.
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must successfully complete TIPS training.
  • Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other computer applications
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Maintain a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, ethics and self-image and interface with other departments to ensure a harmonious working relationship
  • Foster and maintain positive employee relations in a supportive environment
  • Ability to share or divide attention among several ongoing activities, projects or assignments
  • Ability to follow all policies, procedures, and regulations including but not limited to attendance, appearance, safety, and security policies
  • Ability to obtain support for ideas and actions from subordinates, peers, or superiors in order to accomplish a task or goal 
  • Ability to identify circumstances or incidents that require the notification and/or approval of others 
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or team members.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
