The primary function of this position is to utilize and support various accounting systems to ensure activity is posted accurately and timely to the PayPal general ledger. This position will work collaboratively with Product Development, Business Operations, Global Operations, Accounting, and Systems to determine root cause and resolution of issues.

SPECIFIC DUTIES                         

  • Ensure daily reconciliation jobs and tasks are completed according the assigned SLAs.
  • Identify process flows to determine impacted functional groups to identify stakeholders for issue resolution.
  • Perform root cause analysis across multiple environments to determine the source of the issue.
  • Develop and maintain metrics to measure time to resolution and performance against agreed upon SLAs.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.


A.  Education

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, MIS, or a related field preferred.
  • Additional experience can be substituted for education.

  B.  Experience

  • 3+ years relevant work experience in operations or accounting within the payments industry
  • Experience working with research and/or reconciling software
  • Experience working with cross –functional and international teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products

  • Strong analytical, research, problem solving and evaluative thinking skills. Ability to understand and evaluate end to end processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage a variety of tasks.
  • Well-developed sense of urgency and follow through.
  • Energy and desire to thrive in a fast-paced organization; ability to handle multiple projects under pressure.  
  • Strong communication skills - including ability to listen to the needs of others and comprehend complex matters, articulate issues in a clear and concise manner, and present findings as well as recommendations in both oral and written presentations.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new product flows and software technologies.
