On a daily-basis, this position provides administrative support to LES' Energy Delivery Division. The successful candidate demonstrates a high level of personal commitment to providing top-notch service and enjoys working with people and attending to their needs, which is conveyed to the customer.

 

CORE COMPETENCIES & ESSENTIAL DUTIES

 

Adaptability - The individual in this role manages multiple demands, competing priorities, or unexpected demands smoothly and in a systematic fashion. Is alert to changing job requirements or customer needs and identifies and makes needed adjustments.

  • Utilizes various advanced computer software applications, such as SAP, SharePoint, Microsoft Office suite, customized solutions, etc.
  • Collaborates with customers, external individuals or groups, internal departments, contractors, and /or other interested parties regarding technical activities of assigned area of responsibility.
  • Responds to requests for information from employees, contractors, consultants, general public, etc.

 

Detail Orientation - Seeking a candidate who sets high standards for work output, attending to every detail and not considering work complete until it complies with standards. Digs into work requirements and asks appropriate questions to ensure that he/she fully understands the expectations, correct processes, and nuances.

  • Audits all department/division LES purchasing card statements including appropriate receipts, sales tax, etc., and coordinates all business related travel for department/division employees.
  • Provides administrative project support for special projects as assigned.

 

Initiative – The successful candidate is a person who “makes things happen.” Proactively seeks opportunities and finds ways to overcome barriers. Responds to a broad range of opportunities or problems when able, even when the issue could be delegated to others. As appropriate, promotes initiative in others.

  • Processes various reports, such as timesheets, work orders, etc.
  • Prepares and reviews reports, presentations, and/or related materials for internal and external use and delivery.

 

Accountability – The ideal candidate takes ownership of assigned tasks and shows a commitment to getting the job done. Monitors and maintains high standards for performance, behavior, and ethics. Identifies and addresses barriers or problems in a timely manner.

  • Processes vouchers, purchase requisitions, invoice reconciliations, and forms in accordance with company procedures.
  • Monitors and tracks departmental budget variances and compiles responses when appropriate.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Associate degree in Office Technology or related field, and
  • Two years of related office experience; or  
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
