Focuses on design at the enterprise level for our next generation insurance and financial applications, including major enhancements, interfaces, functions, and features. Uses a variety of platforms and technologies to provide business solutions to customers. The role is typically engaged as the highest-level technology expert and will provide oversight of the Enterprise Architecture governance process. 

You will improve how millions of people access and interact with our products, the way business partners support our customers, as well as explore new technologies to better meet those needs.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Provide oversight of the Enterprise Architecture governance processes and ensure compliance
  • Own architecture, development and integration of applications / systems
  • Design and solutions while incorporating modern frameworks / libraries
  • Leverage multiple approaches and technologies for designing, developing, testing, debugging applications
  • Partner with the supported business area(s), align strategy with related objectives and challenges
  • Stay curious while working with business and other IT partners
  • Be an internal consultant, and mentor to more junior with task-level leadership, guidance, and direction
  • Pursue Operational Excellence in all endeavors through continuous process improvements
  • Keep an eye on security and privacy to protect Company data

ABOUT YOU:

  • Professionally solved challenges for application development and implementation over the last seven or more years with:
    • Java, Spring / Spring Boot, JavaScript, SQL, APIs, Web Services, Microservices and integration
  • Have experience deploying applications to a public cloud, preferably AWS
  • Advocate the Agile mindset and iterative development process
  • Lead the solution design process and technology direction
  • Steer productive team communication, mentor and collaborate on problem solving
  • Positively impact team success by multi-tasking and adapting to priority changes
  • Possess architect level knowledge core technologies, yet still driven to pick-up new tech through research and investigation
  • Graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, a related degree or equivalent work experience
  • You help promote a culture of diversity and inclusion within the department and the larger organization. You value different ideas and opinions. You listen courageously and remain curious in all that you do.

VALUABLE EXPERIENCE:

  • Groovy, Kafka, Docker, Mulesoft
  • Have experience deploying applications to a public cloud, preferably AWS
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
