PayPal is seeking a Lead Business Systems Analyst to join the Global Finance Operations team. This position is located in Omaha. The Lead Business Systems Analyst will manage the functional design, development and integration of payment processing and financial requirements.

PayPal is seeking a Lead Business Systems Analyst to join the Global Finance Operations team.  This position is located in Omaha.  The Lead Business Systems Analyst will manage the functional design, development and integration of payment processing and financial requirements.  

A successful candidate must be self-motivated, have an inquiring mind and proactive nature.  This candidate must have proven experience influencing and communicating effectively across all levels of the company, from individual business users to executive management. He or she should have proven ability to build relationships / partnerships and work cross-functionally to drive time sensitive deliverables, issues tracking and reporting. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Design and deliver functional finance user stories including process workflows, accounting rules, and data element specifications for new products and product enhancements.
  • Facilitate finance product delivery and rollouts through coordinating heavily with cross-functional teams including accounting business users and technology organizations.
  • Lead the effort in tracking, scoping, and prioritizing new product and enhancement requests.
  • Collaborate with product, technology and Finance systems experts to communicate product road map, project status, and issues to accounting operations, executive management, and other stakeholders as necessary.
  • Maintain a library of functional documents and user stories that support Finance and document management systems within PayPal.
  • Support special projects and initiatives: special projects vary from strategic initiatives to day to day operations. Support needs will vary by project and will require strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
  • Understand impact various projects and products have on the financial application and associated requirements. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8-10+ years of SAP and analytics experience in payment industry, financial services and/or management consulting firms
  • Experience with developing business and functional requirements
  • Data-warehouse skills in data modelling, ETL, or BI
  • Experience working with cross –functional and international teams
  • Financial institution or payments industry experience a plus
