IT Problem Manager, Professional


Position Description

What does a great IT Problem Manager do?

You will be a part of an exciting, fast-growing technical organization. You'll work as part of a multifaceted enablement team and play a key role in supporting the Application Support group. The process works to understand and communicate the cause of service disruption incidents and track appropriate corrective actions that will prevent the problem from recurring. Each day you’ll handle, solve, and work through the process, by conducting problem reviews, crafting corrective action items for teams to complete and review completed items in Service Now.

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Work with associates and leaders from across the enterprise.
  • Analyze technical problems while facilitating good relationships between business groups, technology departments and vendors.
  • Coordinate and document problem investigations.

You’re the kind of person who has:

  • Experience in an IT-related position or formal education in IT
  • Knowledge or hands on experience in process development, deployment
  • Great analytical and follow-up skills
  • Knowledge or hands on experience of continual service improvement programs
  • Good teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Good interpersonal, written, numerical and oral communication skills
  • Ability to be self-motivated and work unsupervised

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1+ years’ experience in IT, Change Management or Problem Management

Preferred Qualifications for Consideration:

  • Experience working in Banking industry or with Fiserv systems
