The Associate Product Manager will work closely with the interactive Messaging Product Manager to collaborate with clients and our internal teams on the day-to-day support of our clients and our portfolio of messaging products, including inbound and outbound voice and SMS, interactive voice response (IVR) services, and chatbots (conversational AI)

Position Details:

Essential Job Functions:

  • Supports the Product Manager in the tactical aspects of the products, including client support and the overall product lifecycle (conception, definition, development, release, and post-release)
  • Performs various duties in support of the Product Management team. Works with development on new products and current product enhancements. Conducts market analysis as needed. Supports the vision of the CSG Interactive Messaging product roadmap.
  • Handles and manages key interactions with development, the CSG strategic solution business units, and end clients.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert for products within the CSG Interactive Messaging unit. Educates internal teams or external clients, and answers questions related to the products.
  • Acts as a primary liaison with development organization to plan, track and manage product-led development initiatives.
  • Coordinates and interacts with vendors on deployment of services for clients.
  • Become well-versed in the best practices of the CSG Interactive Messaging products:
    • Inbound and outbound SMS, including documenting and working to obtain carrier approval for SMS messaging programs.
    • Outbound voice notifications
    • Inbound voice (IVR)
    • Familiarity with regulatory issues (TCPA, Fair Debt Collection Protection Act)


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience


  • 3 years’ experience in client facing functions.
  • Must be comfortable with written and verbal communications at a technical business level, including requirements gathering and documentation. Strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Strong business analysis skills to assess challenges, issues, constraints, and propose solutions,
  • Must have ability to manage multiple active projects in a given time period with accountability for deliverables.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong presentation skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office

Preferred Skills:

  • Preferred knowledge of electronic messaging (automated SMS campaigns, inbound or outbound voice notifications, and push notifications)
  • Healthcare/EMR solution experience is also preferred.
  • Prior experience working in a product management organization is highly desirable.
