Job Summary

Manages and facilitates the development, deployment and coordination of data governance, data process, and data quality initiatives in support of CSG’s enterprise data strategies.  Creates, maintains, and drives the implementation plans for data processes, data standards and data quality across the organization.  Maintains knowledge of industry best practices, standards, and trends, while driving their application at CSG. 

Essential Job Functions

Responsibility

Provides leadership and accountability for the creation, implementation, and optimization of data processes, standards, and policies

Creates, implements, and manages data quality metrics and defines and drives improvement solutions

Documents and maintains all data standards, data policies, and end-to-end data process flows

Develops communications related to data governance initiatives, coordinates change management and training activities, and provides regular updates to all business partners

Coordinates and analyzes data gaps by collaborating and partnering with the appropriate data owners and stakeholders

Works with data owners and stakeholders to ensure understanding of the end-to-end data processes

Facilitates Data Governance Committee meetings and discussions

Facilitates data owner and data stakeholder meetings and discussions

External – Industry Data Governance groups

Internal – All functional groups and levels within the organization

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent education/experience required.

Experience

Preferred 

  • Experience with master data processes preferred.
  • Data governance experience preferred.

  • Leadership skills to work cross functionally to create a common understanding of data governance.
  • Broad understanding of data governance, data process and data quality.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
