CORE COMPETENCIES & ESSENTIAL DUTIES

 

Job Technical Skills – Responsible for coordinating the functions of a highly technical area within construction management within area of assignment. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with applicable laws, planning and organizing special projects, and providing technical support to area managers. Provides oversight for assigned departments, utilizing a broad knowledge of business and construction management principles and practices. Consistent and reliable attendance is required.

  • Collaborates with customers, external individuals or groups, internal departments, contractors, and/or other interested parties regarding technical activities of assigned area of responsibility.
  • Coordinates programs, activities, events, and/or projects in assigned area of responsibility to ensure compliance, effectiveness and achievement of established goals.
  • Plans and coordinates field visits to develop project scope and conceptual estimates for all new projects.
  • Creates and maintains systems information related to operations, work order tracking, and/or data compilation with assigned area of responsibility
  • Continually promotes good working relationships with all employees, contractors and representatives of other utilities and maintains a good public image for the organization.

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Associates degree or technical degree in area of assignment, and
  • At least five years of related experience, or
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
