Position Details:

The System Administrator Sr. position is responsible for remote administration of production, and non-production systems, as well as infrastructure related Microsoft Windows Servers, SMTP Outbound Production Email, Active Directory, Azure AD and public cloud technologies.   In addition this position provides assistance with problem diagnosis and resolves 90% of issues before escalating to the next tier level of support.  This position also creates and follows work plans and understands associated documentation and complies with Change Management policies.  This position performs daily operational checks, reviews event management alerts and e-mails, and assists with automation.  Lastly, this position performs server maintenance during approved windows, some of which are after the normal business day and on weekends and supports On-Call operations to provide 24x7x365 support to maintain customer OLAs and SLAs.


  • 7+ years’ of system administration experience designing/deploying/supporting/maintaining Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 environments at an enterprise level.
  • 7+ years’ experience working on Microsoft Windows Server projects and part of a project team in a follow the sun global support model.
  • 5 + years’ Experience with SMTP Relays, i.e Proofpoint, Exchange
  • 3+ years’ experience managing and deploying Microsoft Active Directory
  • Experience with Active Directory User and Server Migrations
  • Experience with Azure AD (AD Connect, MFA, Conditional Access, Enterprise Apps)
  • Experience leading IT projects
  • Experience with Windows, Windows Server, UNIX/Linux operating systems and the administration of those operating systems.
  • Experience with PowerShell Scripting
  • Familiarity with ITIL, AGILE and monitoring methodologies.
  • Familiarity with network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, LDAP, UDP and NTP.
  • Familiarity with databases like Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, MySQL Lite and PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with authentication protocols (e.g., Kerberos, Certficate based, Multi-factor)
  • Public Cloud technologies
  • Security tools, polices, and complainance
  • ITIL certification
  • MCSA/MCSE level Windows knowledge
  • ITIL Foundations Certification

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/IT/or a related subject  or equivalent related experience.

  • Stay current with system technology and architecture plans.
  • Understanding of the deployment, configuration and management of industry standard monitoring and automation tools.
  • Ability to write basic scripts in some administrative language (e.g., PowerShell, Perl, Python, Bash)
  • Ability to create reports to summarize the status of varied operational processes within the Event Management team and internal CSG teams.
  • Networking experience and support a plus.

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Possess a solid support foundation with Windows and UNIX/Linux operating systems, understanding performance metrics, statistical calculations and systems troubleshooting.
  • Strong interpersonal and exceptional written/verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with teams from both a business and technical background, in a courteous and professional manner.
