Position Pay Range:

This range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to geographical location and experience.

$83,078.00-$132,924.00

Summary:

CSG’s vision is to provide flexible, seamless, limitless communications, information, and content services for everyone. On the Metrics and Monitoring Team, we contribute to that vision by maintaining, updating, and improving the various alerting systems that are used by CSG applications, servers, and hosts. CSG’s Metrics and Monitoring Engineering Team is currently hiring a Software Development Engineer Sr. Ideal candidate will have a passion for learning new technologies, AWS experience, and a knowledge of JavaScript and Angular JS. You will work in a DevOps culture employing agile development practices. As a Senior Software Developer, you will be playing a critical role in supporting CSG’s monitoring and alerting space providing support of our monitoring tools. You will have the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to and with a team of people including other talented development engineers, operational engineers, test engineers, product owners, and scrum masters. Position Details:

Must have:

  • At least 5 years of experience with C# and Visual Studio
  • At least 1 year of experience with .NET Core
  • At least 1 year of experience with Git
  • Demonstrable understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns
  • Understanding of good programming practices (e.g. SOLID, Clean Code, etc.)
  • At least 1 year of experience with a scripting language (preferably PowerShell Core and/or Bash)
  • Experience with a testing framework (e.g. NUnit, Selenium, etc.)
  • Comfortable with Linux and Windows
  • At least 1 year of experience with JavaScript
  • Experience writing and consuming REST APIs in C#
  • Experience refactoring legacy code

Nice to have:

  • Hands-on experience with a public cloud provider (preferably AWS)
  • Hands-on experience Containers (e.g. Docker, AWS ECS/ECR, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience queuing systems (e.g. RabbitMQ, AWS SQS, AWS Kinesis, etc.)
  • Understanding of asynchronous and multithreaded programming
  • Experience with one or more JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, etc.)
  • Experience with a CI/CD tool (e.g. Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, Chef, etc.)
  • Experience with the Elastic Stack (e.g. Elasticsearch, Logstash, Beats, etc.)
  • Experience deploying to and configuring IIS

Soft Skills:

  • Effective communicator (both nontechnical and technical partners)
  • Demonstrates emotional intelligence / even keel.
  • Comfortable and effective at identifying and articulating technical risks to nontechnical and technical audiences.
  • Self-driven problem solver
  • Comfortable with Agile methodologies and ceremonies (e.g. Kanban, SCRUM, standup, planning, retro, etc.)
