This position is responsible for acting as principle solution lead for enterprise-level initiatives and establishing over-arching environments and standards for front-end development that drives highly-engaging digital properties. This role establishes collaborative, digital solutions to enterprise-wide objectives, working with leaders throughout the company. This position also works closely with team members and leaders to develop and implement innovative solutions that push the boundaries of current enterprise digital capabilitiesadvocating for optimized technologies and processes which in turn create high-performing teams. 


  • Leads enterprise strategic initiatives from a Digital Development perspective 
  • Fulfills role as principle solution lead for front-end development, coordinating project direction and implementation while collaborating with business and technology partners to help set and coordinate solutioning efforts across the corporation. 
  • Sets development architecture and direction of marketing web sites and web-based applications, supervising proper project development stack and configuration while closely collaborating with fellow Digital Development team members and business partners to continually push the edge of business technological capabilities, performance, and accessibility. 
  • Ensures optimal user experience while simultaneously considering and leading the implementation of business rules and regulations. 
  • Translates essential business strategies to technical strategies by fully understanding business capabilities, requirementsproduct details, and how outside factors (ex. Compliance, ADA, legal ramifications) influence initiatives.  Iterates on ideas based upon validated learning, critique, and collaboration. 
  • Coordinates efforts across multiple environments/teams to help mitigate technological risks. 
  • Leads and implements technological standards for Digital Development, vendors, and business partners. 
  • Mentors team members on various development processes in order to build up technical skillsets throughout the Digital Marketing team. 
  • Facilitates and advocates code reviews, establishes continuously scalable front-end development workflows and advocates user focus across the organization and communicates the value and principles of user-centered design and development.  


  • 8+ years hands-on experience as Web or Front-End Developer, preferably as a member of UX team(s), with experience leading development on multiple enterprise-level projects 
  • High adaptability and a contagious enthusiasm for continuous learning and educating others 
  • Fluent with HTML and CSS, implementing device-agnostic responsive web design and native JavaScript (strong ES6+ experience preferred) 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills  
  • Proven knowledge of insurance products and the insurance industry  
  • Solid experience with a wide variety of CSS preprocessors and frameworks (PostCSS, SASS, etc) 
  • Proven experience with front-end modular bundling utilities (Webpack, Grunt, Gulp, etc) 
  • Proven experience implementing and managing a wide variety of JavaScript libraries and frameworks (Vue.js, React.js, Angular JS, etc) as well as server-side scripting languages (PHP, Python, Ruby, etc.) 
  • Excellent ability to absorb, configure and implement APIs and content management systems (Drupal, Wordpressetc) while working with HTTP, REST, and SOAP architectures 
  • Experience managing project assets via version control (Subversion, Git) while successfully meeting expectations within an agile environment
  • Strong experience with object-oriented development  
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics or other tag-based web analytics solutions

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or relative degree or experience 
  • Knowledge of building accessible components that conform to WCAG standards 
  • Familiarity with front-end security vulnerabilities  
  • Experience with SEO architecture best practices

  • Minimum: $90,859 MidPoint: $120,388 Maximum: $149,917
  • Pay commensurate with experience.
