  CORE COMPETENCIES & ESSENTIAL DUTIES

 

Job Technical Skills – To serve as the designated division project lead, accountable and responsible for overall project performance as well as managing the scope, schedule, budget, and safety adherence of all assigned projects.  Specific responsibilities include serving as the primary contact for project sponsor and management; monitor overall project completion through the project cycle for deadline adherence, use analytics to collect and benchmark project data relative to work performed; and be the spokesperson for the assigned projects, when necessary.  Consistent and reliable attendance is required.

  • Develops project documentation proportional to the deliverables required in compliance with the LES work management requirements.  This would include project charters, scope, justification, change plans, safety plans, communications plans, risk plans, resource plans, contingency plan, etc.
  • Leads project management teams to successfully execute all phases of division projects.
  • Coordinates communications between stakeholders, management and project team within and across departments to ensure smooth execution of all assigned projects.
  • Ensures detailed documentation of proceedings, significant decisions made, etc., are available post engagement.
  • Monitors contractor progress and performance to ensure goods and services conform to contract requirements to ensure compliance with project scope and budgets for all new projects assigned.
  • Develops, and actively advocates work, project and portfolio management best practices, IPSEC model and tools for project execution.
  • Represents LES with general public, customers and media in presentation or items related to the project, which may include mass media interactions as dictated by project need.
  • As a subject matter expert, assists in ED resource master scheduling.
  • Completes technical studies and reports related to designated projects or programs.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Technical related field, and

  • Six years of progressively responsible utility experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
