Delivers business value through the application of scientific theories, mathematical methods, and empirical evidence to design, create, deliver, maintain, and govern technology solutions. Performs work in IS in some or all of the following Engineering specialties: Systems, Cloud, Data and Software. Has deeper technical skills within a specific domain. Works with occasional guidance when first entering the position, graduating to independent activities as knowledge and skills progress. Is guided by industry standards such as SWEBOK, DMBOK and industry best practices.

  • Applies a systematic, disciplined, quantifiable approach to the development, operation, and maintenance of software. Responsible for the development, maintenance and integration of applications and systems that support business operations.
  • Applies Software Engineering knowledge areas to the entire software life cycle of a complete solution, from definition and development to maintenance and optimization.
  • Participates in ideation and brainstorming sessions to devise creative and disruptive digital solutions; builds apps, APIs and data solutions to drive toward implementation of those solutions.
  • Develops automated test harnesses to ensure delivery of high-quality code.

  • You are able to work remotely and have access to high-speed internet.


  • 5+ years of experience in Mainframe development with expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2 . 
  • Experience with Pacbase Cobol and Topaz workbench a plus.
  • Strong experience with Database technologies including IMS & DB2.
  • Experience with Confluence,  Remedy and Jira a plus.
  • Application Production Support - ability to provide 24x7 support when applicable
  • Bachelor’s Degree at College of Engineering and Technology or equivalent work experience.

  • Salary range: $90,000 - $110,000
  • Pay commensurate with experience.
