We are looking for a digital marketing professional to join our Omaha-based team. As a member of this team, the Digital Marketing Specialist’s primary goal will be to deliver on strategies that build brand awareness, generate leads, and optimize our lead funnel for revenue. The Digital Marketing Specialist has a strong command of executing and analyzing paid advertising campaigns and is an expert in PPC advertising. This person should also have a deep understanding of the ideal relationship between paid and organic efforts to develop and maintain a well-balanced lead funnel.


This person will support the Director of Digital Marketing and our paid search agency in the launch, management and optimization of paid social campaigns, PPC advertising and paid search campaigns. The measurable goal of the Digital Marketing Specialist is a healthy lead funnel from top to bottom: targeted traffic, MQLs, SQLs, and new customers. A successful Digital Marketing Specialist will exceed their goals while keeping key performance metrics such as cost-per-sale and cost-per-conversion in check.


  • Oversee our paid social and software review site accounts (PPC), and partner with our Paid Search Agency to execute Buildertrend’s demand and lead gen strategies.
  • Suggest and develop new campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Write attractive and concise copy for adverts.
  • Keyword research to identify target keywords and partner with our Content team to refine and execute our Content Marketing Strategy.
  • Track KPI’s to assess performance and pinpoint issues.
  • Produce reports and communicate results to management.
  • Keep abreast of PPC, SEM and SEO trends.
  • Effectively collaborate with your internal business partners on the execution of projects.

the preferred candidate

  • 3+ years experience in digital marketing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or relevant field.
  • Certifications in digital marketing, Google Ads, and Google Analytics.
  • Deep executional expertise across content marketing, SEO and PPC advertising.
  • Proven track record of increasing profitability and driving revenue using digital marketing efforts.

An understanding of how to drive value for SaaS is a plus.

  • Keen understanding of relevant platforms. (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Twitter Ads, Google Analytics)
  • Experience with top tools: SEMrush, Moz, Google Optimize, Google Search Console, etc…
  • Advanced analytical skills, and a metrics-driven mindset who excels in setting KPIs, tracking progress, and achieving goals.

No less important is the ability to translate those metrics and tell stories with data.
