Ameritas is seeking a Sr Social Media Content Development Specialist to join the Marketing team.  In this role, you will be responsible for acting as the intermediary between the brand and the public.  You will be a critical piece to communicate the message of the company to the audiences and at the same time, voice of the needs and desires of the audiences for the company. You will be responsible for brainstorming, creating, and transforming ideas into words for social media platforms.  You will be responsible for social media channel management and content development.

What you do

* Analyze, identify and understand social communities including ongoing social community development.
* Create a content calendar that aligns to overall enterprise social media strategy.
* Create and maintain community related reporting monthly.
* Content curation for weekly posts as well as other initiates and handle distribution.
* Review posts to ensure they are consistent and align with brand guidelines.
* Lead live relay of brand-related events.
* Social networking and influencing.
* Develops unique concepts that are transformed into external social media communications.
* Collaborates with the creative team to explore visual and written ideas and concepts.
* Helps develop communication plans for the marketing department and consults on communication plans for business lines and partners.
* Revises, edits, and proofreads content as needed.
* Researches competitors and keeps abreast of market trends.
* Builds relationships with marketing team, business lines and shared services to understand products, needs and goals identifying the business lines needs and preferences of users.

What you bring

* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
* 2+ years social media content development and management experience required.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to influence and build relationships.
* Must be focused, flexible, and can work in a team environment.
