As Information Management Analyst you will have the opportunity to support the Global Head of Records and Information Governance in defining and executing a multi-faceted enterprise-wide information management and governance program. You will be responsible for administering various activities associated with data and information lifecycle management. This position requires a significant amount of collaboration across all business areas within PayPal Core and its adjacencies.

Responsibilities

  • Support Records and Information Governance (RIG) framework, process design, analysis, development, and execution, including:        
    • Controls development and integration
    • Oversight monitoring process development
  • Collaborate with data users and stakeholders to identify, understand, articulate, and apply information governance processes to manage business information across PayPal, including:
    • Conducting information systems and compliance assessments
    • Examining and evaluating information content
    • Providing guidance for the maintenance of information classifications and disposition schedules
  • Gather and report metrics for the Global Information Management and Data Governance programs on regulatory compliance, performance, and achievements within business units
  • Identify sources of data and information, such as custodian, owner, and system of record
  • Drive awareness and understanding of information governance processes for consistent and defensible information management
  • Support the development of system enhancements to streamline information management processes
  • Stay current on the latest industry technologies, best practices, trends and strategies
  • Assist employees, vendors and other stakeholders in addressing questions related to information life cycle procedures and services

Functional/Technical Requirements

  • 3+ years records and information management or other information governance or compliance related experience
  • Strong technical knowledge with expertise in at least one of the following: Data Governance, eDiscovery, Information Lifecycle Management (ILM), Records and Information Management (i.e., RIM, retention)
  • Working knowledge of data management practices
  • Strong understanding of issues associated with managing electronic data/information
  • Understanding of privacy and data security regulations that impact data retention
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Knowledge of electronic document management systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical development teams
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to adjust to changing requirements
  • An innate intellectual curiosity and a willingness to build awareness of information management best practices. PayPal is constantly innovating by introducing new products and entering new markets, so successful analysts must quickly get up speed on new content areas.

Educational Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Systems Analysis, Management Information Systems, Information Management or related field
