The Quality Assurance Analyst serves as a liaison between IS, Operations (BIPM), and customers from the key business functions to ensure the analysis of non-standard business and user needs, elicitation of requirements, focus on the implementation and support of processes and tools that enhance and make testing efforts more efficient and effective, and ensure resolution of complex system problems. Leads the business analysis planning and monitoring, requirements elicitation/management/communication, requirements analysis, solution assessment, quality assurance development, and support for new and existing applications. Acts as a team leader for assigned projects and trains others through project work.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Ensures the business analysis planning and monitoring efforts, requirements elicitation, requirements management and communication and analysis of requirements to ensure they are traceable to the business case and support the goals and objectives of the customer and/or stakeholder.
  • Ensures the planning, testing, and implementation of business process and/or system enhancements to ensure they meet or exceed user requirements and are completed in a timely fashion.
  • Ensures the execution of the business analysis functions for project implementation. Includes production verification, training, documentation, defining new functions and gaining approval from all impacted departments. Ensures all documentation is completed and accurate.
  • Plans and defines testing approach, consulting with Business Analysts on a test strategy, evaluating appropriate testing methods for a project assignment, to include: automated, manual or a combination of testing methods and providing advice on prioritization of testing activity in support of identified risks in project schedules or test scenarios.
  • Collaborates with Business Analysts/Testers to ensure thorough test cases are developed that are traceable to requirements; works with Business Analysts, Subject-Matter-Experts, and Developers to confirm the accuracy of manual and automated testcases, scripts, scenarios, and suites. Fulfills Moderator role during the business inspection processes.
  • Leads the on-going development of post implementation test scripts to support regression testing as needed.
  • Provides team direction, leadership, and guidance. Fosters growth of other analysts in technical, business, and personal development areas. Assess skills of team to identify gaps and develop training program. Evaluates work assignments so projects provide an opportunity to develop analyst skills and knowledge in new areas. Provide feedback on results produced on analyst assignments and input to periodic performance reviews. Responsible for mentoring, coaching and/or training current and new employees on general testing techniques and best practices.
  • Selects and performs appropriate techniques to measure business analysis work; establishes metrics and measurements to track, assess and report on the quality of work associated with: tracing requirements from business case to implemented solution, identifying and eliminating defects through inspection process, and development of test plans/cases to ensure testability of requirements.
  • Reviews operational procedures and methods and recommends changes for improvement with an emphasis on automation, efficiency and compliance with established standards (includes test management standards and procedures).
  • Identifies, researches, and analyzes production problems, develops solutions, and resolves problems. Provides guidance and context in prioritizing and determining complexity of problems and requests. May manage or assist management team in response to significant systems incidents.

ABOUT YOU:

  • 4 Year Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Experience in Testing/QA with automation experience using automated testing tools. - Proven experience in test automation.
  • Experience in maintaining automation solutions.
  • Experience in various system testing approaches and/or testing tools.
  • Experience in planning and implementing new processes and/or tools.
  • Experience in monitoring and reporting project status at a variety of different levels.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Sound understanding of business analysis and industry requirements.
  • Ability to act as a team leader and train others.
