This position is responsible for all landscaping, grounds maintenance and snow removal activities at company facilities. This position also participates in daily maintenance department activities as required to maintain ongoing business operations.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm

What you do

* Manage grounds keeping activity based on the season including but not limited to application of fertilizers, herbicides and insecticides; cutting lawn and removal of debris; trimming of hedges, bushes, shrubs and flower beds, and snow/ice removal
* Maintenance and repair of all grounds-related equipment including routine maintenance such as oil and filter changes, lubrication and all repairs
* Adjust and maintain lawn sprinkler system including management of ground water wells for irrigation
* Conduct and implement preventative maintenance programs
* Prepare equipment for transition from summer to winter activities
* Maintain a chemical applicators license as required by state law
* Ensure compliance with city, state and federal regulations pertaining to chemical applications and proper disposal of all chemicals used on the grounds
* Oversee, direct and work directly with outside vendors, negotiates pricing with vendors for all grounds-related activities
* Order and maintain quantities of necessary materials to complete duties
* Participate as a member of the emergency response team for all emergencies and security issues
* Will work primarily at Ameritas home office on O street, and 2-3 days per week at Fallbrook office

What you bring

* H.S. Diploma or GED required
* 2 years related experience preferred
* Chemical applicators license preferred (will need to obtain upon hire)
