Email Production Specialist or Remote

Responsible for the day-to-day execution of email campaigns and programs in support of Mutual of Omaha's business objectives. As part of the Email Marketing team, you will be responsible for email coding, testing, list management, segmentation and deployment.


  • Build and execute email campaigns for promotional, triggered, and transactional messages using Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Develop emails using dynamic content and leverage data extensions to populate content based on customer attributes.
  • Identify solutions to support complex email campaigns using data, scripting languages and advanced ESP capabilities.
  • Work with Email Marketing Manager, Email Service Provider and internal teams to implement data connections and processes to support campaign objectives.
  • Build and execute test plans.
  • Follow workflow processes using Adobe WorkFront to ensure deliverables meet business deadlines.
  • Troubleshoot delivery issues and ensure our email reputation remains in good standing.
  • Remain current on email best practices and U.S. CAN-SPAM compliance as well as honors customer subscription preferences.

  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year accredited college or university or equivalent experience required .
  • At least one year of hands-on experience working with and deploying email campaigns.
  • Familiarity with implementing automated campaigns using Automation Studio, Journey Builder and triggered email with the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform.
  • Proficiency developing responsive emails using HTML and CSS, as well as implementing Salesforce Marketing Cloud AMPscript.
  • Strong knowledge of email marketing best practices as well as CAN-SPAM legislation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple email campaigns and segmentation strategies.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics or other tag-based Web analytics solutions.
  • Self-motivated with effective problem-solving skills.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Strong understanding of email marketing operations, technology and testing techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced- rapidly changing environment, navigating tight deadlines and pressured situations while prioritizing projects and keeping the team informed on project status.
  • Proficient with spreadsheet software and HTML editors.

  • Experience building campaigns for advanced list segmentation, workflows and triggered events.
  • Knowledge of APIs and system-to-system integrations.
  • Experience with lifecycle email marketing campaigns.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing strategy, marketing campaigns, advertising and the financial services industry.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
  • Working knowledge of deliverability best practices to ensure inbox placement and familiarity troubleshooting delivery issues.

  • Salary Range: $54,822 - $75,000.
  • Pay commensurate with experience.
