Position Pay Range:

This range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to geographical location and experience.



Position Details:

As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with an experienced development team in an online mainframe environment.  You will leverage industry best practices and methodologies such as Agile and Scrum.  

This individual will work on the development, testing, and implementation of new features as well as production defect tickets.  This individual will also perform as a mentor for other, less experienced developers.

To be considered for this position, a candidate will need the following specific skills:

  • At least 5 years of technical experience.
  • Be effective at communicating and collaborating across multiple teams, ensuring understanding of both verbal and written material.
  • Excellent experience using ASSEMBLER and CICS in an IBM environment to develop, deploy and manage applications.
  • Excellent experience using a variety of data formats including DB2 and VSAM.
  • Excellent experience using mainframe development tools such as ISPW, FileAid, AbendAid. and Xpediter.
  • Experience working in and supporting a DevOps organization.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Provide on-call support of production, client test, and QA environments.
  • Resolve issues or problems reported internally or by clients.
  • Address application tuning and performance issues and opportunities.
  • Be a self-motivated individual who works well in a team environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or above in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience in SAFe/Scrum/Kanban is favorable.
