We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Content Strategy with 6+ years experience in content strategy planning, content production, optimization, placement and creative team leadership to join our in-house marketing agency.

In this role, you’ll develop amateur sports focused content strategies in conjunction with marketing managers and create channel strategies to align content production, optimization and atomisation to drive lead generation, brand awareness, brand advocacy and sales results.

This role will guide a team of content producers and content marketing managers in Hudl’s Competitive business unit which focuses on accelerating Hudl’s growth among clubs, high schools and small colleges across North America. This role is responsible for developing, executing and assessing content strategies in consultation with marketing managers and directors and needs a strong understanding of building a holistic content focused strategy that moves prospects through the marketing and sales funnel.

This role requires a high level of strategic thinking, creativity, excellent writing skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of how to measure effectiveness and adjust accordingly.

Hudl has a flexible location policy. Once we can safely return to our offices, we'll leave it up to you to decide where you want to work: our Lincoln HQ, our Omaha office, Boston, MA office or remotely within approved states in the U.S.

You are

  • Left- and right-brained – You're highly creative, but use data to make informed choices. You love to visualize how parts and pieces fit together and can connect the dots for others.
  • Interested in social and digital marketing trends – You’re someone who can get into the weeds on effective digital marketing. You stay up to speed on the latest digital trends and know how to create content for multiple mediums, channels, and audiences.
  • A Content Coach – You have lead creative marketing professionals and know how to maximize the performance of your team of content marketing managers and content producers.
  • User-focused – You grasp the emotional and rational reasons for which customers buy products, services and solutions, and can convey the value of Hudl based on that understanding.

You will

  • Tell stories – You’ll develop key messaging frameworks to promote brand awareness, sell Hudl’s products, and incorporate customer stories into content to tell the story of why they need Hudl’s products and services.
  • Generate demand – You’ll collaborate to come up with creative, strategic content approaches to reach prospects and lead them through the sales and marketing funnel, managing the strategy for email communications, social media channels, blogs, vlogs, newsletters, print, website and in-app messaging. You’ll also pitch new content ideas and formats, collaborate to produce compelling content and monitor key performance metrics.
  • Experiment – Identify and explore emerging technologies and new content tactics to expand our content toolkit. 
  • Educate – You’ll help customers get the most out of Hudl by planning, developing and organizing content in ways that help answer coaches’ questions, anticipate their problems and lead them to resources that allow them to understand our value proposition and how our tools help them succeed. 
  • Drive engagement and utilization – You’ll lead a team that creates content that demonstrates the value that Hudl brings to coaches and athletes and encourages/persuades them to deepen and broaden their use of Hudl and which provides opportunity to cross-sell and up-sell other products on our platform.
  • Collaborate – You’ll work with marketing, sales, customer success, and product stakeholders to create content that not only helps them achieve their goals, but also meets our core audience segments where they're at in the buying and renewal journey. You'll seek out opportunities to collaborate with external influencers and industry experts as a way to enhance the Hudl brand and provide credible content to coaches and athletes.
