NCR Digital Banking D3 is searching for a Lead UX/UI Designer to be responsible for the research, design and validation of the user experience for D3’s applications. The user experience encompasses all aspects of a person’s experience when engaged in D3 financial applications. 

The Lead UX/UI Designer works closely with internal teams and external influencers to evolve the user experience to balance the aesthetic and functional aspects of the applications for a diverse set of users. This individual will provide leadership, vision, standards as well as highly creative ideas to the user interaction with financial applications 

Responsibilities 

· Create the vision for end-user engagement for a compelling user experience in the FinTech industry 

· Operate strategically and tactically, to help deliver the next paradigm in customer experience 

· Create the visual design definition, direction and consistency of the applications for multiple display devices 

· Drive the definition of UX/UI across multiple application types, inclusive of Web, iOS, Android, and Voice 

· Lead User Research 

· Work closely with the Product Managers to drive the product from creation of UX and design concepts to the final launch of the product as well as post-launch monitoring and analysis 

· Participate in User Acceptance Testing 

· Interface with architecture, engineering, and quality assurance staff 

· Work with Sales Support to ensure demos are reflective of prospect brands and themes 

· Interact with D3 clients for user experience feedback and ideas 

· Monitor UX technology trends and innovations, market trends, competitive solutions, and emerging technologies 

· Use design methodologies that adhere to WCAG and incorporate ADA Standards for Accessible Design. 

Qualifications 

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent work experience 

· 5+ years of experience in user experience design for both web and mobile native applications that leverage emergent technologies, consumer electronics and mobile devices  

· Experience interacting with User Group/Advisory Board  

· Strong understanding of Agile methodology/SDLC 

· Ability to create wireframes as well as visual design comps 

· Expert knowledge of material design principles as well as iOS/Apple User Interface Guidelines 

· Proficient with user interface design patterns and standard UCD methodologies 

· Knowledge of design tools such as Balsamiq, Photoshop, XD, Sketch 

· Working knowledge of web and mobile frameworks such as Bootstrap, material design, and iOS design standards  

· Working knowledge of JavaScript/iOS/Android 

· Understanding of common software development practices 

· Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS 

· Financial industry background a plus 

· Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., PCI, WCAG, FFIEC) is desirable 

· Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills 

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
